Disclosure & Comments Policy

Comments are welcome. I moderate them to prevent the spread of spam and hate and tangential stuff. If I object to something you commented, I’ll email you (unless there’s swearing – that trash talk lands the comment in the trash or if you bash gifted kids or teachers) so you can edit yourself if you like.

If you’re a spammer, I don’t do that because I don’t want to confirm I exist.

If your comment disagrees with me, that’s fine, but be cool about it. It is, in the end, my site where I share my views and allow others to share theirs within reason. Comments need to be related to what we’re talking about. Have a point – don’t just be a troll – and we’ll be fine!

The Federal Trade Commission has rules about websites (you can cure insomnia by reading it here). This disclosure page is so I make sure to follow all the rules. I used to be an English teacher, so I love rules!

I have this website to share ideas about good thinking and education, with particular emphasis on giftedness.

Occasionally people give me books or education materials to review. That will always be disclosed in the article. Those of you who know me, know that I love to give my opinion, and even if someone gives me something for free, I will not hesitate to give you my honest opinion.

I have a full privacy policy that you can read here (another insomnia cure).

This website is a built with wordpress.org. The framework is Genesis from StudioPress, and the theme is Epik. I pay dreamhost for webhosting, and I bought the domain from them, too. I bought the domain lisavangemert.com, which re-routes here, from network solutions. My husband gives me lots of free IT support, and I do the rest myself. (none of these links is affiliate)
